Family Support Institute of BC – The Family Support Institute of BC (FSI) is a provincial non-profit society dedicated to empowering and supporting families who have a family member with a disability. Their services are free for families across British Columbia.
Autism Information Services British Columbia (AIS BC) – AIS BC is a provincial information centre for autism and related disorders that provides information and supports to families, service providers, and community professionals across the province.
Abilitas Foundation – Abilitas Foundation operates a sprawling, accessible lodge nestled right in the heart of Cold Water Ranch, where children and adults living with disabilities can bring their families and caregivers to rest, recharge and reconnect.
SMART Options – SMART Options connects Kamloops employers with people who have developmental disabilities to create mutually beneficial and meaningful employment opportunities.
Can-Do-It Program – The Can Do It Program is designed for youth aged 13 to 18 with developmental exceptionalities, providing a supportive and engaging environment to build practical life, work, and social skills.
Diversify Kamloops – A non-profit Society with the mission to provide families and Individuals (with Neurodiversity, Special Needs, and Neurodivergence) in the Kamloops and surrounding areas with: support, inclusion, resources, advocacy, awareness and community opportunities.
Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association – Therapeutic riding for contributing positively to the cognitive, physical, emotional, social and well being of individuals with special needs.
Canucks Autism Network – In-person and virtual opportunities for children, youth, and adults on the autism spectrum. Based in Vancouver, but they do offer activities in other parts of BC.
Adaptive Sports at Sun Peaks – Adaptive Sports at Sun Peaks is a charitable organization creating and providing accessible outdoor adventures for individuals living with physical and/or visual disabilities and/or neuro-divergency.
Access2 – Easter Seals Canada – Access2 offers individuals with permanent disabilities a support person at entertainment, cultural, and recreational venues without extra cost. Presenting the Access 2 Card at participating venues grants the support person free or discounted entry at participating locations.
Children and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN) – Provides services to children and you with support needs 0-19 (In Home and Community), as well as respite and special needs plans.
Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) – The Ministry of Children and Family Development’s primary focus is to support all children and youth in British Columbia to live in safe, healthy and nurturing families and be strongly connected to their communities and culture.
Autism IN Kamloops: This Facebook page is an excellent resource for finding out about autism services in Kamloops, and asking questions. This group is not affiliated with any local organization or service provider, and the opinions given there are those of the posters.
At Home Program – The At Home Program is designed to support children and youth with severe disabilities and complex health care needs. The program provides a range of medical equipment and services for eligible children.
ACT – Autism Community Training specializes in evidence-informed training, research, and resources to support neurodivergent individuals.
