The Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism in Kamloops, BC, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide treatment programs for school-aged children in a therapeutic program for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The successful candidate will assess; develop programs; and provide direct intervention including sensory integration therapy. Additional duties include communicating with family, co-workers and other members of the team. This part-time position is from September to June annually. The successful applicant must be eligible for registration with British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
The Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism is the only center in western Canada that offers such immersive services to children with autism spectrum disorder. You will work with children between the ages of 5 and 13 in our day program, and may work with children between the ages of 6 and 18 in our extended program. These programs run from September through June annually.
Days and hours of work to be discussed with the applicant — the programs operate Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, so times would be within that schedule. In order to be eligible for benefits, the successful applicant must complete a three-month probationary period and work at least 24 hours per week.
